Done Holding Myself Back

September 9, 2009

Last night I went to the Trial of Champions (regular) with some guild mates. It was my first time there, and I had fun; though I’ll need some more practice with the jousting. I came away with my first two epic pieces of equipment: [Breastplate of the Imperial Joust] and [Legguards of Abandoned Fealty]
Since getting [...]

Race Change Service Coming

September 4, 2009

From a post on WoW Insider, which links to a blue post on the Official WoW Forums, race changes are coming soon.
This was actually mentioned in the announcements for the Faction Changes, but this is the first I’ve heard of it directly. I had read that you could finagle a race change by flipping to [...]

Destiny Rides a Deathcharger

September 3, 2009

Continued from Destiny (or) Back to the Dark Side
If you’ve noticed the character profile at the top of the sidebars over there, you’ll already know what my decision was.
Yes, I decided to reroll my Death Knight on the Alliance.
Despite being level 77, I didn’t really have much to show for my time and effort. My [...]

Redemption of the Paladin Class

July 22, 2009

Succumbing to various forces of persistent coercion, I made a paladin a couple weeks ago. It is the first paladin I’ve played in a long time, and I think I owe an apology; I’m not sure to whom this apology should go, so I’ll just leave it open and if the shoe fits….
The last time [...]

Northrend’s Lack of Inter-Zone Fluidity

June 23, 2009

Is it just me, or do the quests in Northrend seem much more disjointed than in the Outlands and the Old World?
In the original game and in Burning Crusade, as you worked your way through a zone’s quests and came to outgrow the zones, some of the last quests would take you to the next [...]

Reaching For The Ceiling

December 29, 2008

For about a month and a half now, since Wrath of the Lich King came out, I’ve focused 99% of my game time on leveling. I’ve been playing MMORPGs for about 8 years now1 and have never had a character at the maximum level. It took months after Burning Crusade was released to [...]

About Ernst

I'm a casual World of Warcraft player. I started playing about a month after the game was released in 2004. I've tried each class at least once, but I tend to gravitate toward melee DPS classes. My first main was a Rogue, then a Hunter, followed by a Mage. With the release of Wrath of the Lich King, I've found myself most comfortable with the Death Knight class.
